The Wood Furniture Factory's story began when owners Bret Qua and Raymond Mendoza recognized a need for Solid Wood Furniture in San Diego. The influx of cheaply made imported furniture has found it's way into high end furniture stores and has created a void for the discriminating consumer that chooses to buy quality made, real wood furniture.
We use only hand-selected woods, traditional time tested methods of construction and have the latest technology to insure that the furniture that we make is top quality. Our goal here at The Wood Furniture Factory is to not just build furniture for today, but to build furniture that will stand the test of time.
We have many standard designs to choose from or we can also assist you with your custom orders. Whether you need a simple bookcase, home theater or an entire library setup, we can build you exactly what you want.
Meet the Founders
Bret Qua, a native San Diegan, started off as a teen working in his father's shop, later rising to manage the 50,000 sq. ft. plant (exclusively manufacturing unfinished furniture).
Raymond Mendoza has worked in the unfinished furniture industry, specializing in sales and finishing for over 20 years.
Together they bring over 60 years of combined experience in making quality, well built furniture, designed to last a lifetime.
Meet The Build Team
Oscar Aragon is our expert CNC operator, his knowledge of precision woodcrafting is one of the key factors that contributes to our quality pieces. Oscar is a veteran of the US Navy and proudly served during the first Gulf War.
Alex Salinas, also a native San Diegan, brings 10+ years of solid wood furniture building know how. Alex's expert knowledge helps provide consistent expert installation and setup of your furniture.
